@'ABASA 80 Frowned - 'Abasa
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
# بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1
80:1 He frowned and turned away
# عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّى 1
80:2 when the blind came to him.
# أَن جَاءَهُ الأَعْمَى 2
80:3 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified.
# وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكَّى 3
80:4 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him.
# أَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ الذِّكْرَى 4
80:5 As for he who is sufficed
# أَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنَى 5
80:6 you attended to him,
# فَأَنْتَ لَهُ تَصَدَّى 6
80:7 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified.
# وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلاَّ يَزَّكَّى 7
80:8 And to him who came to you eagerly
# وَأَمَّا مَن جَاءَكَ يَسْعَى 8
80:9 and fearfully,
# وَهُوَ يَخْشَى 9
80:10 of him you were unmindful.
# فَأَنْتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّى 10
$ 1686 The Koran is a reminder sent for all peoples of the world 80:11-16
80:11 No indeed, this is a Reminder;
# كَلاَّ إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ 11
80:12 and whosoever wills, shall remember it.
# فَمَن شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ 12
80:13 Upon highly honored pages,
# فِي صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍ 13
80:14 exalted, purified,
# مَرْفُوعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍ 14
80:15 by the hands of scribes
# بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ 15
80:16 noble and pious.
# كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ 16
